I got to meet Dr. Jerry Buss and his daughter Jeanie when they returned to Los Angeles from Hawaii. I didn’t get a chance to really talk to them very much, but I did make sure that other paparazzi kept away…he was doing his best to keep his trip with his daughter a bit more private.
While Jerry is most famous for being the owner of the Lakers, he also had his hand in the Los Angeles Kings in hockey and the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA, and Los Angeles Lazers soccer team. As an official doctor, his PhD in physical chemistry came from the University in Wyoming. Now he could also be considered a doctor of poker, having ranked really well in many poker championships.
His beautiful daughter Jeanie is now a vice president covering business operations with the Lakers. She had gained some popularity after posing for Playboy, but she is now romantically linked with the Lakers’ coach Phil Jackson. I guess she never did have a taste for short guys, darn it all.
